Caixa Econômica começa a pagar hoje o saque-aniversário do FGTS

A Caixa Econômica Federal começa a pagar nesta quarta-feira, 1, o saque-aniversário do Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS). Em abril, o banco disponibilizará cerca de R$ 900 milhões para mais de 530 mil trabalhadores nascidos entre janeiro e fevereiro que fizeram o cadastro nesta modalidade.
Por conta da pandemia do novo coronavírus, a Caixa permitiu que, quem tinha optado por receber o dinheiro na boca do caixa, por exemplo, pode mudar a alternativa no aplicativo do FGTS. Dessa forma, o trabalhador pode receber crédito direto em conta, em qualquer banco.
O valor será atribuído na data escolhida no momento da adesão, sendo hoje ou dia 13 de abril – já que dia 10 não é dia útil. Serão disponibilizados R$ 367,5 milhões a 243,9 mil trabalhadores nesta quarta e R$ 528,9 milhões a 286,2 mil pessoas no dia 13 (com direito a juros e atualização monetária).
De acordo com a Caixa, 76% dos trabalhadores optaram por receber o dinheiro em conta bancária. Mas a estatal ressalta que, quem escolheu outra opção de recebimento, mas mudou de ideia, pode alterar a forma de pagamento por meio do aplicativo App FGTS até o dia 23 de junho.
A modalidade saque-aniversário, em que o trabalhador pode retirar uma parte do saldo das suas contas do FGTS todo ano, é opcional e a migração dever ser informada à Caixa. Veja o calendário completo:
